Television with framed picture feature

PURPOSE: A television having a picture frame function is provided to display a stored still image or a motion picture when a user does not watch TV, thereby using the television as a decoration when the user does not watch a TV broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: A data communication interface(110) transceives data. A storage(140) stores a motion picture file or a still image file. A decoder(160) decodes the stored motion picture data or the still image data to output decoded video data on a display(170), and outputs decoded audio data to an audio unit(150). If a mode change signal is received from a remote controller through a remote control interface(120), a controller(100) alternately selects a TV mode for outputting a television broadcasting through the display or the audio unit, or a picture frame mode for outputting the stored motion picture file or the still image file through the display.
