FUNNEL FOR CATHODE RAY TUBE AND CATHODE RAY TUBE HAVING THIS FUNNEL

PURPOSE: A funnel for a CRT and a CRT having the same are provided to prevent degradation of deflection sensitivity of deflection yoke, while reducing stresses and implosion at the top of round of the body portion and yoke portion. CONSTITUTION: A funnel(14') for a CRT, comprises a body portion(14a') having an open end to be attached to a panel having a phosphor screen, and an align mark(26) formed at the outer surface of the body portion adjacent to the open end; a neck portion(14c') for installation of an electron gun; and a yoke portion(14b') having an end connected to the body portion at the top of round and the other end connected to the neck portion, wherein the yoke portion has a deflection yoke arranged outside the yoke portion so as to deflect the electron beam emitted from the electron gun. An iron portion(28') is arranged at the body portion or at the outer surfaces of the body portion and the yoke portion, such that the thickness of the iron portion increases from the vicinity of an end of the align mark to the vicinity of the top of round along the tube axis direction.
