PURPOSE: Provided are a method and apparatus for manufacturing fertilizer which shortens fermentation and aging time, neutralizes soil and promotes plant growth by adding jade, yellow earth and other minerals to food wastes. CONSTITUTION: The fertilizer is manufactured by the following steps of: (i) grinding food wastes in a tank(10) to a homogeneous size with wheels; (ii) dehydrating and removing impurities such as metals, vinyl, wood chopsticks in a purifying part(30), wherein the bad smell generated from the process is collected to a vessel; (iii) concentrating purified wastes by mixing in a tank of a mixing part(40); (iv) fermenting concentrated wastes(60-70deg.C) in a tank of a fermentation part(50) by adding 30wt.% of yellow earth, 0.5wt.% of jade powder, and 0.5wt.% of auxiliary materials such as rice straw, a fermentation promoter, sawdust, CaO, etc. to 60wt.% of food wastes, and mixing for 5-6hrs, keeping air flowing, where the far infrared energy emitted from jade and yellow earth activates microbes in wastes and promotes fermentation; (v) drying fermented wastes in high temperature dryer; (vi) aging wastes in a tank of an aging part(70) by mixing wastes for 5-6hrs, keeping air flowing; and (vii) packing.
