IMMUNOTOXIN TO HIV INFECTED CELLS, CONTAINING CONJUGATE OF CELL TOXICITY PROTEIN AND ANTIBODY TO ENV PROTEIN OF HIV

PURPOSE: An immunotoxin to HIV infected cells, containing a conjugate of a cell toxicity protein and an antibody to Env protein of HIV is provided, thereby effectively removing the HIV infected cells. Therefore, it can be useful for prevention and treatment of AIDS. CONSTITUTION: An immunotoxin to HIV infected cells contains a conjugate of pokeweed antiviral protein(PAP) and an antibody to Env protein of HIV. A process for preparing the immunotoxin to HIV infected cells comprises the steps of: mixing the antibody to Env protein of HIV with SPNP(N-succinimidyl 3-(2-pyridyidithio) propionate) solution and stirring the mixture thereof at room temperature to prepare an antibody-SPDP conjugate; mixing PAP with 2-iminothiolaneHCl and stirring the mixture thereof at room temperature to prepare a PAP-IT conjugate; and mixing the antibody-SPDP conjugate with the PAP-IT conjugate, stirring the mixture thereof at room temperature and stationing the mixture at 3 to 5 deg. C to prepare the antibody-PAP conjugate.
