The car has a safety device raising the bonnet (1) in an accident situation, including an actuator (5) operated by a sensor. The pivoting of the bonnet is placed at the height of the bumper (3). The closing mechanism for the bonnet is in the rear region of the bumper. The bumper may automatically move forward immediately after the raising of the bonnet.
