The invention concerns a method for making an element such as a linear section, in particular for so-called external woodwork, comprising a metal portion (2) constituting said element mechanical structure and one or several wooden parts (1) fixed on the whole or part of said metal portion external surface, characterised in that the wooden part(s) (1) are first heated at a high temperature previous to being fixed on the metal portion external surface. The invention also concerns elements such as linear sections resulting from the implementation of said method.
