PURPOSE: To enable the weed cutting between rows or stumps following the irregularity of ground surface. ;CONSTITUTION: A parallelogram-link mechanism 1, whose lower link comprises a sleigh 2, stands in a freely resiliently swingable manner in the longitudinal direction of a machine body. A pair of the link mechanisms 1 are laterally placed faceing to each other and holding a raw of plants between them. Right and left upper links 3, 3 are connected with a metal frame 6. Long-spring tine-attached sickle blades 19, 20 and short-spring tine-attached sickle blades 25, 26, both curved in a bow-shape, are each fixed on a tine fixing member 16 at a front spot and a middle spot of the sleigh 2, respectively, in which the fixation is achieved with the front end of each sickle blades. They are placed inside the sleighs 2 in a symmetrical state against the center line between the sleighs 2. The rear end of each of the long-spring tine-attached sickle blades 19, 20 has a sickle blade 24. The base parts of the right and left sickle blades 24 are faced to each other having a narrow space between them. Sickle blades 28 of the rear end of the short-spring tine-attached sickle blades 25, 26 are each placed at an out-and-front-side of the sickle blades 24. Every blade is placed on a sleigh 2 directing a back-and-low-side with its edge directing a front-and-obliquely down-side. The blades are arranged in a truncated chevron in terms of the proceeding direction. A vertical rod 13 standing on the metal frame 6 is attached on the main body of the cultivator through a holding member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
