PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for converting HTML data on a web page so as to have a format suitable for a display in a mobile station. PSOLUTION: In this device, the HTML data on the web page are converted into data having a new format suitable for being translated on the display in the mobile station 111 in order to be used in the mobile station 111 having a performance determined beforehand. The device is characterized by being equipped with a memory 270 including the HTML data on the downloaded web page, an HTML filter and an HTML translation script, and a controller 240 connected to the memory 270, for executing the HTML filter for generating the data having the new format from the HTML data on the web page is response to the HTML translation script and the performance determined beforehand, capable of translating the data having the new format on a screen.
