PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodities sorting instruction apparatus, a commodities sorting instruction method and a commodities sorting instruction program for efficiently sorting commodities to be delivered by address of delivery.;SOLUTION: Information on order of commodities from shops is input to a CPU of a host computer, and a plurality of pieces of the information are stored in an external memory. The plurality of pieces of the information are sorted by delivery route to produce an order table. A commodities master prestored in the external memory is associated with the order table, and a sorting load for each shop is calculated. The sorting loads of shops of which delivery routes are the same are compared, and the order of work for shops is determined so that the order loads are in monotone increasing or in monotone decreasing in the same delivery route, and the order loads are alternately in monotone increasing or in monotone decreasing among the delivery routes. A picking instruction signal is transmitted to a number indicator based on the determined order of work.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
