PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide material procurement technique for reducing the burdens of material suppliers and a material buyer involved in data transmission and reception and also capable of quickly and accurately comparing a plurality of material suppliers.;SOLUTION: A material procurement apparatus 140 prepares requirement specifications of materials and a format utilized at the time when material suppliers prepare quotation, and stores the specifications and the format in a storing part 105. Then, the apparatus sends a request for quotation to the material suppliers, also accesses a specification storing part 105a and a format storing part 105b to download requested specifications and format and requests the specification storing part 105a and format storing part 105 to prepare replies for the quotation request. Therefore, results of the quotation received from maker terminals are stored in quotation data storing part 113. A data synthesizing part 112 synthesizes a plurality of quotation results and the format, and prepares a table for the quotation results.
