PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant containing phenol oxidase gene and transduced thereinto, a method for producing the phenol oxidase with the plant and a method for decomposing and removing utilized toxic chemical substances using the plant. SOLUTION: This plant contains a DNA encoding the phenol oxidase, transduced thereinto and expressed therein. The method for producing the phenol oxidase comprises carrying out hydroponics of the plant. The method for decomposing and removing the toxic chemical substances comprises cultivating the plant in the environment contaminated with the toxic chemical substances.
