PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable bed type sand filter, in which the cleaning effect of filter media at the time of air-lift circulation is extremely improved and the turbid matter on the filter media is surely stripped off. ;SOLUTION: An ultrasonic oscillator 17 is mounted inside a circulation cleaning passage 15 in a movable bed type sand filter provided with a feed water flow-in part 12 and a treated water flow-out part 14 respectively in the lower part and the upper part of a filtration treating tank 11 and further provided with the circulation cleaning passage 15 for cleaning the filter media in the tank while circulating the filter media in the lower part of the tank to the upper part of the tank by air lift and a turbid matter discharge part 16 for discharging the turbid matter stripped off from the filter media by the cleaning work in the circulation cleaning passage to the outside of the tank.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
