SUPERVISORY APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING SUPERVISORY OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory apparatus for identifying a supervisory object capable of automatically and quickly discriminating whether an intruded object is a person or an animal, identifying a kind or the like when the object is an animal and avoiding wrong discrimination.;SOLUTION: The supervisory apparatus detects an intruded object by an infrared ray sensor and comparison analysis of photographed images and compares a current image photographed by a camera with a background image having been obtained in advance in terms of binary images so as to extract a different image of the both. An image left by e.g. noise elimination is extracted as the object image in the difference image. Then a contour image of the object image compared with many model contour images of various objects prepared in advance and the coincident image is identified to be an intruded object. For example, when the intruded object is a supervisory object, an alarm is raised and in other cases, a notice sound is outputted and the object image in a prescribed size is displayed on a monitor or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
