PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder compact superior in handleability, which is needed in manufacturing a porous sintered compact with high porosity.;SOLUTION: The powder compact superior in handleability consists of mixed powders of at least a metal powder and a binder having a property of softening at a low temperature, and includes 2.5 mass% or more of a lubricant for powder metallurgy as the binder, and 40-70 vol.% of the metal powders in terms of volume ratio of the metal powders to the powder compact.
