RISK MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR MEDICAL NURSING WORK, AND RISK MANAGEMENT SUPPORTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly analyze various kinds of incidents generated in medical facilities, and to assist the planning of effective countermeasures to prevent medical accidents. SOLUTION: A factor mostly contributing to the generation of incident is extracted from the kind of error such as the error relating to conducts on the basis of habituation and the error relating to conducts on the basis of rules, the direct triggers such as the environment of facilities, the working environment, the work factor and the personal factor, and the indirection triggers such as problems on institutional culture, problems on management of medical information, problems on specialist culture, problems on management of labor, on each incident reported from an incident report, and a relational chain obtained by relating these factors is defined. An appearance ratio is calculated every relational chain regardless of the nursing work, and the corresponding order of priority is determined while referring the appearance ratio. Whereby the problems on the organizational culture and the management peculiar to the medical facilities can be found out, and the possibility of the medical accidents can be remarkably reduced by planning the countermeasures to solve the problems.
