PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert by which the extended life span of a tool and productivity can be obtained with relation to turning processing parts of a titanium alloy.;SOLUTION: This cemented carbide cutting tool insert comprises Co of 5 to 7 by Wt% and WC in the remaining portion for turning processing the titanium alloy, and is characterized that the surface is covered with the Co layer of 0.5 to 8 μm at least partially by carrying out heat treatment in the atmosphere of Ar and Co after a sintering process and grinding in order to finish to final forming dimensions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
