PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor optical amplifier with a monitoring device, which can be manufactured at a low cost and has a high degree of integration and enables to increase the maximum output power.;SOLUTION: The semiconductor optical amplifier with a monitoring device comprises a housing 210 having a window 220 and 240 on both sides of the opposite walls for forming a path of a first optical fiber 230 and a second optical fiber 250, respectively; a semiconductor optical amplifier mounted in the housing for amplifying inputted optical signals and outputting the amplified optical signals; a first supporter 300 and 310 for supporting the first optical fiber; and a second supporter 320 and 330 for supporting the second optical fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
