The present invention relates to the automatics and computer engineering and can be used in designing and producing redundant failure-tolerant systems. The proposed failure-tolerant system for controlling objects contains input units, a unit for analyzing deviations from the normal operation mode of the system, a unit for determining possible variants for compensating failures of the system elements, a unit for selecting a failure compensation algorithm, and output units. The system ensures the flexible compensation of failures of the system elements according to the algorithm that implies determining all the possible variants of the compensation by using redundancy facilities available in the system and, as a result, provides a possibility to extend the functionality range of the system.
