Generally speaking, small household appliances are designed for a single purpose. This means that several appliances have to be used in order to prepare, for example, toast and boiled eggs. Although various types of toasters having a bread roll grill which is integrated or configured as an upper part have been known per se for many years, nobody has thought of improving a limit of lift and catching device in an economical manner and configuring these small household appliances such that food can be cooked without using water. The invention provides an additional revolving turning device in the form of a supporting grill which is comprised of at least two rotatable rods, whereby at least one rod is driven and rolls the toast/a receptacle which is open on both sides. Either the adjusting finger or the operating component forms part of a combined limit of lift and catching device, can engage with the stop catch of the operating position, and supports the revolving turning device. The invention can be used in the field of small household appliances, especially toasters.
