Procedure for extracting and purifying natural-occurring tocopherols and sterols through sterification with propane trimethylol, consisting of specially catalyzed sterification aimed to convert fatty acids from the deodorization distillation into esters characterized by high molecular weight and little volatility, in order that the residue shall be retained in a selective distillation. The alcohol for fatty acid sterification is propane trimethylol, with hypophosphorus acid being used as the catalyzer. In the dilution, methanol is used in a 1:7 proportion. Filtration or spin is made at -30 DEG C. Molecular distillation is carried out in order to split esters from fatty acid, propane trimethylol, tocopherols, sterols and hydrocarbons. Molecular distillation is also intended to purify tocopherols.
