The invention provides the method and the reagent that are used for detecting the polymorphism relevant with interleukin-1 ' beta ' (IL-B) gene (IL-1B (3737)) upstream region, described polymorphism influences this gene transcription and to the susceptibility of inflammatory and communicable disease such as periodontopathy and Alzheimer.
