The lateral connector between the rod of the rachis stabilization and correction device and a fixing part to the rachis comprises a piece (4) to be connected to the fixing part. This piece is provided with an extension (13) inserted in a second piece (14) comprising a housing (16) for the rod and means for locking the rod and the extension. The piece (4) comprises a head (5) provided with a hole (6) the lower part of which comprises an articulation bearing surface engaging with a corresponding bearing surface of the fixing part. The second piece comprises a hole (24) for receiving the extension allowing a rotation of the second piece around the extension. The hole has an intersection with the bottom (25) of the housing in order to form a slot (26).
