PURPOSE: A subscriber-based ringback tone service method in a flexible paging is provided to improve a conventionally standardized ringback tone type by providing a specific sound for which a termination subscriber wishes as a ringback tone and smoothly providing the specific sound in the flexible paging. CONSTITUTION: If a random caller calls a termination subscriber and requests call connection, a corresponding origination MSC(31) requests termination location information to an HLR(Home Location Register)(10)(S701). The HLR(10) requests routing information to the first termination MSC(32) and the second termination MSC(33) which performs a just previous servicing on the basis of previously stored first and second identification information using a routing request message(S702-1,S702-2). The first and second termination MSCs(32,33) provide routing information i.e., a TLDN1(Temporary Local Director Number 1) and a TLDN2 to the HLR(10), respectively(S703-1,S703-2). The HLR transmits routing information provided from the first and second termination MSCs(32,33) to the origination MSC(31)(S704). The origination MSC(31) simultaneously requests a trunk or ISUP(Integrated Services Digital Network User Part) call connection to the first and second termination MSCs(32,33) on the basis of routing information and configures a mutual channel(S705-1,S705-2). The first termination MSC(32) confirms whether service setup information about a subscriber-based ringback tone service exists(S706). If the caller is a service subscriber and is in a service activation state, the first termination MSC(32) requests the ISUP call connection to the IP(Intelligent Peripheral) and configures a mutual channel, and provides a termination telephone and an origination telephone number(S707). The second termination MSC(33) confirms whether service setup information exists(S708). The second termination MSC(33) requests service setup information to the HLR(10)(S709), and receives service setup information(S710).
