FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves using sulfate-type brine of natural mineral of bischofite of MgCl₂•6H₂O. formulation as growth promoter; exposing tomato seeds to the action of said brine for 1.5-2.0 min at temperature of +40 - +80 C; actively stirring seeds in brine; saturating seed upper layer with micro- and macro elements by providing excessive pressure of 0.01-0.02 MPa in brine. Method is used for growing tomato seedlings resistant to pathogenic microbes and diseases. EFFECT: increased yield and provision for growing seedlings resistant to temperature differences and for protection of seedlings and seeds from diseases. 6 tbl
