A process for locating a dielectric member (11) in a coaxial HF plug connection (2), which has an outer conductor (8) and an inner conductor (7), comprises placing the outer conductor, which does not yet contain the dielectric member, on a section of coaxial cable (3) whose inner and outer conductors have been removed. An annulus is formed between the plug outer conductor and the coaxial cable inner conductor. A pourable or injectable dielectric material is filled into the annulus, and a front section of the conductor is kept free of dielectric material. The dielectric material is introduced via an opening (18) in the plug connector.
