The box (1) containing drawing equipment is joined to the lid (2) by a piano hinge preventing the lid from flapping over. A scissors type fitment is mounted on the box and lid. The lid can be adjusted in several stages by means of the support-bar (11) on the lid folding out onto height-adjustment-wedges incorporated in the box. A table-stop bar (4) on the bottom edge of the box prevents slipping. The lid has a drawing-board stop-bar (3). The front of the box and lid has two fastenings (6). The box has a front carrying-handle and a rear four felt slide pieces (9).
