The stick (1) is for striking a percussion instrument, such as a drum, tympanum, vobraphone or xylophone, has a rear-end grip part (2) and a front-end striking part (3). The grip part is formed as a one-piece, longitudinally extending rod of approximately constant cross-section, the length of which is at least 70 per cent of the total length of the stick. In the area of the striker part are parts movable in relation to one another, formed as a bundle of relatively movable, flexible, elongated componetns, which are located parallel to each other in an accommodation (7) in a one part, striker part section (5). The elongated components have the shape of preferably round cross-section small rods (8). They are made of an organic material, such as wood, bamboo, plastic or carbon fibers.
