The device has a computer unit, an input/output unit and a first laser distance measurement module emitting a visible measurement laser beam. A second laser distance measurement module emits a second visible measurement laser beam and is coupled to the first module both mechanically via a connecting element and data technically. The two measurement laser beams have a defined pivot angle relative to each other that is known to the computer unit. The device has a computer unit (2), an input/output unit (3) and a visible measurement laser beam emitting first laser distance measurement module (4a). A second laser distance measurement module (4b) is provided that emits a second visible measurement laser beam and is coupled to the first module both mechanically via a connecting element and data technically. The two measurement laser beams (I,II) have a defined pivot angle (alpha) relative to each other that is known to the computer unit. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a pivotal joint for terminating an inventive device.
