The brushless D.C. motor unit has a stator-coil device (14) and a motor shaft (16) rotatable relative to the stator-coil device that is coupled to a rotor magnet packet (12) so as to rotate with it and at least one bearing on the rotor shaft. The motor shaft is a first metal part and at least one different second part is axially held by the first part and/or axially fixed onto the first part by deforming the first part with a tool. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method of manufacturing a unit with a first metal part with a protrusion and a second part fixed to the first part (b) and a method of adjusting a sensor arrangement relative to a control magnet device arranged on a rotor magnet packet of a brushless D.C. motor (c) and a torque transfer device.
