The guard comprises an impregnated sail cloth (3) which has doubled and its two layers sewn together. The sail cloth can be secured to a pressure-sensitive adhesive hook and loop fastener tape (2) attachable to the door, window or frame, preventing a child's fingers from becoming trapped between the door/window and frame.
