Transporting device for holding and cooling still warm preform

A conveyor to hold and cool down parisons which are still warm has a transporting frame with cooling tubes to hold them singly, whereby the tubes are open at the end remote from the frame where they have a stop to act against the shoulder of a thread; the tubes also have inner cooling flow bores filled with coolant from a source so that parisons in the tubes are cooled down; the equipment concerned also has provision for releasing parisons from the tubes. The i.d. of the tubes is always greater than the o.d. of the parison held up to the stop shoulder, and the cooling channels provided cool the parisons directly. ADVANTAGE - The design cools the parisons intensively even without direct contact with the cooling tubes. The parisons are moved into the tubes precisely in position.
