A complex analogue signal is placed on the input (E) of an analogue/digital converter (A/D) that supplies a digitally scanned complex-valued input signal, with the scanning beat corresponding with the scanning theorem. This input signal goes to the first shift register (S1), acting as a delay, with the test signal (AU) in the seventh cell. Then, the input signal is sent to an amount former (B) with its output connected to the input of a second shift register (S2) and the inputs of the two FIR filters (FA, FB) which have different sets of coefficient (KA, KB). An amplitude value size (AL) is determined from the amplitude values (A(n)), multiplied by a weighting factor (k) to produce a threshold value (SW), so that all scan values larger than this threshold can be recognised.
