PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the amount of a binding agent stuck to the repeatedly used molding sand without repeating several times the kneading of the molding sand under usual operating conditions, the making of a mold, the pouring, and the recovering of the molding sand, and to examine the specifications of the molding sand recovering apparatus without carrying out a verification test.;SOLUTION: When the amount of the binding agent stuck to the repeatedly used molding sand is estimated, initial conditions of the mold, conditions of the binding agent, using conditions of the mold, and specifications of the molding sand recovering apparatus are input into the system. The amount of the stuck binding agent is estimated by calculating it based on the input results concerning the initial conditions of the mold, the conditions of the binding agent, the using conditions of the mold, and the specifications of the molding sand recovering apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
