PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING CARBONIZED PRODUCT USING MEAT AND BONE MEAL AS RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in the treatment of domestic cow meat and bone meals, which are compelled to be incinerated irrespective of whether there is any doubt about mad cow disease or not, without being utilized as a recycling article, i.e. problems that whether the proteins contained in the carbonized product are inactivated is not ascertained and that the recovery rate of the carbonized product after the heat treatment is low because the meat and bone meals are fine in particle size.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing process comprises a first step of preparing a mixture of cow meat and bone meals expected for treatment and meat and bone meals of a second stock; a second step of granulating the raw material obtained in the first step to obtain a granulated raw material; and a third step of burning the granulated raw material obtained in the second step at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time to obtain a charred carbonized product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
