PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the withstand voltage by using the roll state of a layered material for a long capacitor layer, manufactured by a continuous lamination method and wound on a core tube.;SOLUTION: A laminated material for the long capacitor layer comprising a first conductive layer, a dielectric layer, and a second conductive layer is wound on a core tube from the start edge though the end edge. With consideration about the layer arrangement in planes between the first conductive layer 3, the second conductive layer 5, and the dielectric layer 4, an insulating resin film F is placed on one side of the layered material 1a for an extra-long capacitor layer to be wound on the core tube 2, and the layers are wound into a roll simultaneously for the completion of a withstand voltage text roll, where electrical insulation exists between the neighboring layers. Parts of the interlayer insulating means of the extra-long capacitor layer material 1a are removed at locations along the outer circumference of the withstand voltage test roll, and a withstand voltage test is conducted on the first conductive layer and the second conducive layer which are exposed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
