PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knife type weeder for a cultivator designed to cut growing plant without sowing seeds in the ground.;SOLUTION: The weeder is obtained by mounting a horizontal lever 14 on the left side and a horizontal lever 15 on the right side, respectively on the upper parts of shanks 11 and 12 arranged parallel on the left and the right and mounting intertillage tines 13 at the lower end. The horizontal levers 14 and 15 are composed so as to mount shank mounting bodies 17 so as to freely move back and forth and fix. Octagonal steel shanks 18 are inserted into the left and right shank mounting bodies 17 so as to freely vertically move. Cylindrical bodies 26 with a setscrew are horizontally provided at the lower end of weeding knife mounting bodies 19 fixable at a suitable position. Blade parts 28 and 28a are formed in the forward direction on an underground cutting knife 20 on the left side and an underground cutting knife 21 on the right side. Thereby, the height for cutting underground parts below roots of ridge crops is provided. Furthermore, the upper horizontal parts 27 of the under ground cutting knife 20 on the left side and the underground cutting knife 21 on the right side are inserted into the cylindrical bodies 26 with the setscrew and the lower ends are installed toward the central part between the left and the right intertillage tines 13 and 13.
