PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method of a metallic band for making the lubrication effect of inner wax added to resinous paints in drawing and ironing sufficiently demonstrate. PSOLUTION: This method is a working method of the metallic band for painted cans excellent in formability by which the surface temperature Tn (C) of a die in the n-th stage which is brought into contact with the side equivalent to the outside of a can is taken as 20Tn(n-1)20+60 (C) when performing the multistage can manufacturing of the metallic band which is coated with the paints containing the inner wax on the side equivalent to the outside of a can of the metallic band for cans.
