THERMOCHROMIC LIQUID COMPOSITION AND THERMOCHROMIC LAMINATE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic liquid composition applicable to a coating agent, a printing ink, an ink for writing utensils, a cosmetic lacquer, a fiber coloring fluid, and a painting color all of which develops a colored state when heated in a decolorized state and to provide a laminate using the composition.;SOLUTION: The thermochromic liquid composition comprises a vehicle containing a resin and a microcapsular pigment containing thermally colorable thermochromic composition comprising (i) an electron-donating color-forming organic compound, (ii) an electron-accepting compound selected from gallic acid esters, (iii) an alcohol having a melting point of below 50°C and reversibly causes a color-forming reaction between the both in a specified temperature region, and a reaction medium selected from among esters, ketones, and hydrocarbons and constituted so that the ΔH value (hysteresis temperature width) in a temperature vs. color density curve is arbitrarily selected from a range of 3-40°C and having a mean particle diameter of 0.5-50 μm.
