PSOLUTION: When light emitted from a light source 201a is guided to the y-direction, a polarization state of the light is modulated by a modulation part 201d using a liquid crystal so as to be emitted in a prescribed position in the y-direction, the light guided to the x-direction is modulated by a modulation part 202 using a liquid crystal so as to be emitted in a prescribed position in the x-direction, a specimen in a prescribed position on a specimen mounting part 204 is irradiated with the light, and signal light from the specimen is detected by a photodetector 206.
