PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analysis for pole assignment of a control system and a method for designing the control system, which can effectively calculate parameters to meet pole assignment specifications by representing the parameters on a 2 dimension plate, which define a scope of sections for each coefficient of polynomials in the sections where the pole assignment specifications for the control system can be eased.;SOLUTION: The analysis for pole assignment of the control system and the method for designing the control system acquire an input data for the control system comprising a transfer function data and the pole assignment specifications, specify the scope of the sections for each coefficient of the polynomial in the sections which describes the pole assignment specifications with the parameter, formulate a system of linear inequality such that the pole for a closed loop characteristic polynomial must be included in a solution space for the polynomials in the sections, describe the formulated system of linear inequality with the first-order predicate logic, and decide the scope of feasible values for the parameters by applying an algorithm for eliminating limited symbols against the first-order predicate being described.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
