PURPOSE: To facilitate the road transportation of a device for digging trench into the ground by gathering a power mechanism, a trench digging bit actuating mechanism, excavating and winding mechanism, etc., in one body as a compact assembly. ;CONSTITUTION: A lifting mast 3 is made upwardly and downwardly inclinable around a connecting spindle 5 by operating a hydraulic thrust cylinder 7. A chassis 11 which supports a milling drum 12 is hung from the front section of the lifting mask 3 by using a supporting cable 13 which is made descendable into a groove formed of the chassis 11 and drum 12. Various kinds of flexible pipelines for supplying energy to the chassis 11 are supported by a group of rolling devices 19 and 20 arranged in the forward-backward direction on a platform 1 under the lifting mast 3.
