LOW-FRICTION AND LOW-WEAR SOLID BODY SLIDING SYSTEM

Solid body sliding pair for machine components comprises a first sliding element made of a first base material and a second sliding element made of a second base material. At least one of the sliding elements contains a slip additive in the form of a hydroxide compound which is incorporated in the base material before use as a machine component. An Independent claim is also included for the production of hydroxide-containing sliding elements, comprising pressing of a hydroxide body with high porosity from hydroxide powder, casting of the hydroxide body with a metal, and processing the hydroxide body into the desired shape. Preferred Features: Hydroxides of antimony, bismuth, arsenic, aluminum, indium, lead, tin, zirconium or titanium are used as the slip additive.
