Apparatus for detecting the weight of hinged loads

The device (10) is for determining the weight of loads (11), which have a linkage (12) activated by a hydraulic cylinder (21) to attach the load to a work vehicle (13), e.g. a tractor. A pressure sensor (27) measures the hydraulic pressure in the cylinder. An angle sensor (28) senses the location of the linkage relative to the vehicle. The signals from the two sensors and the signal from a vehicle pitch inclination sensor (29) are transmitted to a computing unit (26). The computing unit determines the size of the attached load and its change in weight. The computing unit also provides measurement value batches for at least three different measurement locations of the linkage for three unknown weights and their centres of gravity. The values weight and change in weight are even provided when the vehicle is moving.
