The invention relates to an optoelectronic measuring system in which at least two first light sources (3, 4) emit light in a time-sequentially clocked manner. The invention also relates to a device for compensating for extraneous light by regulating the luminous intensity irradiated by at least one light source on the measuring system so that the clock-synchronous alternating light portion goes to zero.
