A recycling method for a developer supply unit (5) for supplying a developer to developing means (1) for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive member (2), wherein the developer supply unit (5) is detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus (100) and includes a developer accommodating portion (5j) for accommodating the developer, a developer supply port (5f) for supplying the developer to the developing means (1) and a feeding member (5a) for feeding the developer to the developer supply port (5f) from the developer accommodating portion (5j), the method includes an injection step of injecting the developer through the developer supply port (5f); and driving step of driving the feeding member (5a) in a direction (A-E) for feeding the developer from the developer supply port (5f) to the developer accommodating portion (5j), by which the developer is fed from the developer supply port (5f) to fill the developer accommodating portion (5j) with the developer.
