PURPOSE: A method for obtaining and transmitting traffic information using an internet protocol version 6 in a traffic information system is provided to perform a remote control operation and obtain the real-time information by assigning internet protocols to various terminals. CONSTITUTION: The presence of a module transmitting/receiving unit(312) is checked within a cell region of the first vehicle module(300). The traffic information is transmitted to the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) if there is the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) within the cell region of the first vehicle module(300) or the presence of the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) is checked within a cell region of the second vehicle module(306) if there is not the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) within the cell region of the first vehicle module(300). The traffic information is transmitted to the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) if there is the module transmitting/receiving unit(312) within the cell region of the second vehicle module(306). The module transmitting/receiving unit(312) transmits the traffic information to a traffic information center(314). The traffic information center(314) grasps a state of traffic on the basis of the traffic information.
