PURPOSE: A driving circuit of an SRM inverter is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by reducing the number of switching elements and removing an additional power supply and an additional driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A DC link capacitor is used for supplying a DC voltage to a motor. A motor coil part is formed with N couples of coils. N couples of winding diodes are used for controlling the flow of current among the motor coils. PNP transistors are serially connected to the coils. Switching elements of 2N number are serially connected to the coils. First free wheeling diodes of 2N number are connected among emitters of the PNP transistors and drains of the switching elements. Second free wheeling diodes of 2N number are connected among collectors of the PNP transistor and sources of the switching elements. A plurality of resistors are used for applying the base driving current to the PNP transistors when the switching elements are turned on.
