A novel phellinus linteus strain and an anticancer immunoactive polysaccharide prepared therefrom

PURPOSE: Provided are a novel Phellinus linteus strain which produces anticancer immunoactive polysaccharide and an anticancer immunoactive polysaccharide which is separated and purified therefrom. The Phellinus linteus has a good therapeutic effect on various diseases, especially cancer. CONSTITUTION: The novel Phellinus linteus strain(KCTC 0912BP) produces anticancer immnuoactive polysaccharide. The anticancer immunoactive polysaccharide separated and purified from the mycelium of Phellinus linteus strain(KCTC 0912BP) has average molecular weight of 1400000 Da, and consists of 5-30 wt.% of ribose, 10-55 wt.% of mannose, 10.6 wt.% of galactose, and 17.4 wt.% of glucose.
