The grinding machine has a rotating plate with removable grinding segments on it. These segments are in the form of grinding cylinder (3) with their axes (6) perpendicular to their base surface. At least two of them are removably attached to plate elements (1), arranged in a circular region of the rotating plate. The base surfaces are significantly smaller than the plate element.
