A method for driving an LS-positional valve block involves initially determining the control pressure difference between the pump pressure and the highest load pressure. In the event of a pressurant sub-supply, the adjusted lowered control pressure is ascertained or any change of the differential control pressure. An electric signal is outputted to the control unit (38) and the electric control valve arrangements (4,6) are driven in dependence on the changed differential control pressure or the control pressure change such that the delivery flow quota to the pumps (2,3) is balanced out with the total pressurant demand of the loads (4,6,8,10). An independent claim is included for an LS-positional valve block.
